Michigan Routs Eastern Michigan in Seven-Inning Runaway

YPSILANTI, Mich. (Interstat) — Colby Turner went 4 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs as Michigan pounded Eastern Michigan 15-4 in a seven-inning game Monday afternoon at Oestrike Stadium.

The Wolverines (17-14) erupted for 14 hits, scoring nine runs in the second inning to seize control. Greg Pace also homered and drove in four runs for Michigan. Tristan Crane hit a two-run homer for the Eagles (10-21).

Michigan pitchers Preston Barr, Grant Bradley and Wyatt Novara combined for 6 1/3 hitless innings of relief. The result defied a national projection that favored Eastern Michigan, though a separate power rating heavily favored the Wolverines.

The game was called after seven innings.
