(Interstat) — Cade Montgomery pitched a one-hit shutout over seven innings and Michigan’s bats erupted for six runs in the seventh inning Tuesday as the Wolverines rolled to a 10-0 victory over Rutgers at Sapp Fieldhouse. Montgomery, who scattered one hit with six strikeouts and no walks, faced the minimum 21 batters. He allowed only a fifth-inning single to Rutgers’ Jaros and retired the Scarlet Knights in order in four of his seven innings.
