Towson at Monmouth

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (Interstat) — The Monmouth Hawks will look to complete a Colonial Athletic Association series sweep when they host the Towson Tigers in the finale of a three-game set Sunday afternoon at Monmouth Baseball Field.

First pitch is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026, under clear skies with temperatures around 60 degrees.

Monmouth (18-13, 3-2 CAA) has taken the first two games of the series, winning 8-2 on Friday and 6-5 on Saturday. The Hawks have won four of their last five games overall.

Towson (14-17, 1-4) aims to salvage the series finale and snap a two-game skid. The Tigers have lost four of their last five conference games.

A key matchup could feature Towson right-hander Aden Knowles, who delivered five scoreless innings of relief in Saturday’s narrow loss. Over his last four appearances, Knowles has a 2.16 ERA, allowing just two earned runs in 16 2/3 innings.

Monmouth will counter with left-hander Alec Couture, who earned the win Saturday after allowing one run on four hits over seven strong innings. In his last three starts, Couture is 3-0, though he has allowed 10 earned runs in 15 innings during that span.

According to Interstat, Monmouth is projected as a significant favorite with a 67.5% probability to win. The service’s game simulator predicts a 7-6 victory for the Hawks.

Following the game, Towson travels to face Maryland on Tuesday. Monmouth remains home to host NJIT on Tuesday.
