WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (Interstat) — Mason Ruh threw a no-hitter, striking out eight and walking one, as UNC Wilmington shut out Monmouth 5-0 on Wednesday evening. Ruh, a right-hander who had struggled in his previous three outings, allowed only a second-inning single to Nick Buecker before retiring the final 23 batters he faced. He threw 110 pitches, 74 for strikes, and did not allow a runner past second base after the second inning.
