POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (Interstat) — Meghan Andersen recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds Wednesday afternoon to guide Fairfield to a 63-49 victory over Marist in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women’s basketball game.

The Stags (13-3, 4-0 MAAC) used a decisive second quarter, outscoring the Red Foxes 15-5, to build a 28-17 halftime lead at McCann Recreation Center. Fairfield maintained control throughout, extending its advantage to 47-32 after three quarters.

Kaety L’Amoreaux led all scorers with 19 points for Fairfield. Jillian Huerter added 13 points and five assists.

Danielle Williamsen scored 15 points for Marist (6-11, 2-3). Justine Henry added 11 points and eight rebounds. Attendance was 2,788.
