Campbell at Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to build on momentum from midweek victories will meet Sunday when the Campbell Fightin’ Camels face the Furman Paladins in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Timmons Arena.

Both teams enter the contest with 2-2 overall records. Campbell is coming off a 66-54 home win over Western Carolina on Wednesday, led by Ciara Alexander’s 17 points. Jasmine Felton added 14 points and Olivia Tucker scored 10 for the Fightin’ Camels, who have split their two road games this season.

Furman arrives after a thrilling 90-89 overtime victory against Georgia State on Thursday. The Paladins were powered by a standout performance from Clare Coyle, who recorded 22 points and 17 rebounds. Teammate Raina McGowens added a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

While both squads are .500, their paths have differed. Campbell’s two losses were by a combined 13 points, including a narrow 74-72 season-opening defeat at Tulane. Furman’s two losses, against Vanderbilt and Georgia, were by a combined 94 points, though they were dominant in a 58-point win over North Greenville.

The game will be the first of a two-game road trip for Campbell, which travels to face Northern Colorado on Nov. 21. Furman will look to defend its home court again before hitting the road for a matchup at Radford on Nov. 19.

Tipoff is set for Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, in Travelers Rest.
