Texas A&M at Oklahoma

Preview: Texas A&M Women’s Basketball at Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. (Interstat) — The Oklahoma Sooners, riding high in Southeastern Conference play, will host the struggling Texas A&M Aggies in a women’s basketball rematch on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, at Lloyd Noble Center.

The No. 10-ranked Sooners (16-4, 5-2 SEC) have won two straight, including an overtime victory over then-South Carolina, and sit near the top of the conference standings. Oklahoma previously handled the Aggies with ease, winning 72-50 in College Station on Jan. 1.

Texas A&M (8-8, 1-6) seeks to halt a four-game skid and reverse its fortunes after a 70-81 loss at Missouri on Sunday. The Aggies’ conference struggles have been marked by defensive lapses, allowing an average of 84.3 points in their six SEC losses.

A key matchup will feature two of the league’s top guards. Texas A&M’s Ny’Ceara Pryor, the team’s engine, is averaging 17.0 points and 6.3 assists over her last three games, including a 22-point, 7-assist effort at Missouri. She scored 20 in the first meeting with Oklahoma.

Oklahoma counters with versatile forward Sahara Williams, who is coming off a near double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds in a win at Auburn. Williams had 10 points in the Jan. 1 win over A&M.

The Sooners boast one of the nation’s most potent offenses, averaging 82.1 points per game. Their firepower, led by Williams and transfer post Raegan Beers, will challenge an Aggie defense that has repeatedly been overwhelmed in SEC play.

For Texas A&M, containing Oklahoma’s transition game and finding consistent secondary scoring behind Pryor are imperative. The Aggies have lost their last six games against ranked opponents.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST. Oklahoma will visit Texas on Sunday, while Texas A&M hosts South Carolina on Feb. 2.
