ROSEMONT, Ill. (Interstat) — Villanova raced to a 42-19 halftime lead and cruised to an 81-48 victory over DePaul in a Big East Conference women’s basketball game Monday night at Allstate Arena.

The Wildcats, who improved to 11-2, held the Blue Demons to just seven first-quarter points. Brynn McCurry led Villanova with 18 points and seven assists. Kelsey Joens added 14 points.

Kate Novik scored 14 points for DePaul, which fell to 3-12. The announced attendance was 1,420.
