PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Interstat) — The Michigan women’s basketball team delivered a commanding 94-60 victory over Rutgers on Thursday night at Louis Brown Center.

The Wolverines seized control early, building a 31-13 lead after the first quarter and never relenting. Michigan improved to 16-3 overall, while the Scarlet Knights fell to 9-10.

Olivia Olson and Syla Swords each scored 16 points for Michigan. Te’Yala Delfoose added 15 points and Mila Holloway also scored 15 while dishing five assists. Faith Blackstone led Rutgers with 21 points in the loss.

An announced crowd of 2,802 watched as Michigan covered the pregame spread with ease. The Wolverines’ efficient offense proved too much for the Scarlet Knights to contain in the conference matchup.
