Holy Cross at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — The Holy Cross women’s basketball team will look to carry a three-game winning streak into Patriot League play when it visits Bucknell on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at Sojka Pavilion.

The Crusaders (6-5) enter the New Year’s Eve matinee after a 78-56 rout of Massachusetts-Lowell on Dec. 21. Guard Kendall Eddy, a key player to watch, posted 14 points and eight assists in that victory. Over her last four games, the sophomore has averaged 5.5 assists.

Holy Cross has found its rhythm defensively during its streak, holding opponents to an average of 47.3 points per game in wins over Bryant, Vermont and UMass-Lowell.

The host Bison (4-7) are coming off a record-breaking 102-26 win over Division III Gwynedd Mercy on Dec. 20. Freshman guard Tuana Coskun erupted for 33 points in just 25 minutes in that contest, establishing herself as Bucknell’s primary offensive threat. Coskun averages 17.7 points per game over her last three outings.

Despite the lopsided win, Bucknell has struggled against Division I competition, losing five of its last six such games. The Bison’s defense has allowed 60 or more points in all seven of their losses this season.

This matchup opens the Patriot League schedule for both teams. Holy Cross was picked to finish near the top of the conference in the preseason poll, while Bucknell was projected in the middle of the pack. The Crusaders’ early schedule was notably tougher, featuring a road win at Boston College and a loss at Duke.

History favors Holy Cross, which has won the last five meetings between the programs. The Crusaders swept last season’s series, including a 66-52 victory in Lewisburg.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. EST. Holy Cross visits Navy on Jan. 3, while Bucknell travels to face Lehigh the same day.
