NEWARK, N.J. (Interstat) — In a double-overtime women’s basketball showdown on Thursday, Seton Hall outlasted Fordham 90-83 at Prudential Center. The Pirates remained undefeated this season, improving to 4-0, while the Rams fell to 3-3.

Fordham’s Alexis Black led all scorers with a career-high 42 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a balanced Seton Hall attack. The Pirates were led by Mariana Valenzuela with 21 points and Savannah Catalon with 20. Seton Hall capitalized on Fordham’s 23 turnovers, scoring 28 points off those miscues. The game was tightly contested, requiring two extra periods before the Pirates secured the victory.
