LUBBOCK, Texas (Interstat) — Texas Tech remained unbeaten Thursday night, overcoming a dominant first quarter by Mississippi State to secure a 69-62 women’s basketball victory at United Spirit Arena. The Lady Raiders improved to 6-0 while the Lady Bulldogs fell to 4-1.

Mississippi State raced to a 31-16 lead after the first quarter but was held to just two points in the second period as Texas Tech mounted its comeback. Bailey Maupin led the Lady Raiders with 17 points, while Jalynn Bristow added 18 and Snudda Collins scored 17. Destiney McPhaul paced Mississippi State with 12 points. An announced crowd of 3,652 watched the Lady Raiders complete the comeback and stay perfect on the season.
