MONROE, La. (Interstat) — The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks remained undefeated Friday night, defeating the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters 70-62 in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Louisiana-Monroe built an early lead with a 24-point first quarter and held off a second-half push from Louisiana Tech. Kamille Brown led the Warhawks with 16 points. Alexia Weaver scored 16 points for the Lady Techsters in the loss. Louisiana-Monroe improved to 2-0, while Louisiana Tech fell to 0-2. An announced crowd of 1,593 attended the game.
