HAMILTON, N.Y. (Interstat) — Zanai Barnett-Gay scored 31 points to lead the Navy women’s basketball team to a 73-63 Patriot League victory over Colgate at Cotterell Court on Saturday.

The Midshipmen built a 44-26 halftime lead and withstood a stronger second-half push from the Raiders. Navy forced 18 turnovers, converting them into key scoring opportunities, while committing only seven.

Barnett-Gay added five assists for Navy, which improved to 20-7. Ella Meabon led Colgate with 19 points. Madison Schiller scored 11 for the Raiders, who fell to 6-21.

Navy shot 20 of 27 from the free-throw line, a decisive advantage over Colgate’s 6-of-10 performance.
