Weber State at BYU

PROVO, Utah (Interstat) — The undefeated BYU women’s basketball team will put its perfect record on the line Saturday when it hosts in-state foe Weber State at the Marriott Center.

The Cougars (5-0) are off to a strong start, most recently edging Montana 70-69 on the road Wednesday. Marya Hudgins led the way with 23 points in that victory. BYU’s defense has been a cornerstone of its early success, holding four of its five opponents to 63 points or fewer.

Weber State (2-2) arrives in Provo after a high-scoring 82-76 home win over Utah Tech last Saturday. Antoniette Emma-Nnopu was dominant in the victory, nearly recording a triple-double with 22 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. The Wildcats have shown offensive firepower but have also suffered a 23-point loss to UC Davis this season.

Saturday’s contest is the first of a challenging two-game stretch for the Wildcats, who visit Utah next Wednesday. BYU, now competing in the Big 12 Conference, will continue its non-conference slate at home against Washington State on Dec. 3.

Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
