Kicker Riley Patterson connected on a game-winning field goal in the extra period before a crowd of 78,610. The Dolphins improved to 4-7, while the Commanders fell to 3-8. Washington’s Marcus Mariota threw for 213 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 49 yards. Miami’s De’Von Achane rushed for 120 yards in the victory.
