Hawks Dominate Magic With Explosive Second Quarter in Road Victory
ORLANDO, Fla. (Interstat) — The Atlanta Hawks used a 47-point second quarter to pull away from the Orlando Magic and cruise to a 130-101 victory Wednesday night at Kia Center.
Ahead by just four after the first quarter, the Hawks’ offensive outburst before halftime established a commanding lead that Orlando never challenged. The Magic, playing at home, were outscored by 21 points in the period.
The win improved Atlanta’s record to 44-33. Orlando fell to 40-36 with the loss in front of an announced crowd of 17,324. The Hawks have now won both meetings between the teams this month, having also defeated the Magic on March 16.
