Padres Rally Past Rockies for Fourth Straight Victory

SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — Ramón Laureano hit a go-ahead, three-run homer in the fourth inning and the San Diego Padres rallied from an early four-run deficit to beat the Colorado Rockies 9-5 on Saturday at PETCO Park.

Mickey Moniak homered twice for Colorado, including a two-run shot in the first, to stake the Rockies to a 4-0 lead. San Diego answered with three runs in the third on Manny Machado’s two-run homer before Laureano’s blast off former teammate Germán Márquez put the Padres ahead for good.

Márquez, facing the Rockies for the first time after 10 seasons with them, earned the win despite allowing four runs over five innings. Ryan Feltner took the loss for Colorado. Jason Adam recorded the final out for his first save.
