Judge Hits 50th HR as Yankees Roll Over White Sox to Tie for Division Lead

NEW YORK (Interstat) — Aaron Judge tied the major league record by hitting 50 home runs for the fourth time, launching two homers to power the New York Yankees to an 8-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night. The win moved the Yankees into a tie for the AL East lead for the first time since July.

Judge’s three-run shot in the second inning gave New York the lead for good. He added a solo homer in the eighth, finishing with four RBIs. Yankees starter Max Fried became the majors’ first 19-game winner, allowing one run over seven innings.

The Yankees recorded 10 hits. The White Sox, who fell to 58-100, managed just five hits and scored their only run on a sacrifice fly in the second inning. New York has won seven of its last eight games.
