Yankees Rally in 9th to Stun White Sox

NEW YORK (Interstat) — The New York Yankees scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to steal a 3-2 victory from the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium. Trailing 2-1, Anthony Volpe scored the tying run on a wild pitch during an intentional walk, and Aaron Judge raced home on a walk-off single by José Caballero.

The comeback spoiled a strong outing from White Sox starter Shane Smith, who struck out eight over five innings, and a two-run homer by Colson Montgomery in the sixth that had given Chicago the lead. Luke Weaver earned the win in relief for the Yankees, while Brandon Eisert took the loss. The announced attendance was 38,318.
