Atlanta Braves at Detroit Tigers

DETROIT (Interstat) — The Atlanta Braves will look to complete a series sweep of the Detroit Tigers when the teams meet in an afternoon game Sunday at Comerica Park.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. EDT.

The Braves (72-83) have taken the first two games of the series in decisive fashion, including a 6-5 victory on Saturday. Atlanta has won four of its last five games. Third baseman Nacho Alvarez Jr. powered the offense Saturday, going 3 for 4 with two home runs and three RBIs.

The Tigers (85-70), clinging to playoff hopes, have dropped five of their last six games. First baseman Spencer Torkelson provided a bright spot in the loss, hitting a home run and driving in three runs.

A projection from Interstat gives the edge to the visiting Braves, simulating a 6-3 Atlanta victory.

Following the game, the Braves return home to open a series against the Washington Nationals on Monday. The Tigers will enjoy an off-day before traveling to face the American League Central-rival Cleveland Guardians for a three-game series starting Tuesday.
