PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — Jerome Brewer scored 27 points and Jaeden Marshall added 23 as La Salle edged Saint Bonaventure 78-74 in an Atlantic 10 men’s basketball game Saturday at Tom Gola Arena.

The Explorers, who improved to 6-13, never trailed after halftime. They led 38-37 at intermission and held off the Bonnies despite a double-double from Saint Bonaventure’s Dasonte Bowen, who had 12 points and 10 assists. La Salle’s Rob Dockery contributed 10 points and six assists.

Saint Bonaventure, which fell to 11-7, got 37 points in each half but could not complete the comeback. The Bonnies have lost three straight conference games. Attendance was 1,430.
