NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — Lipscomb edged Austin Peay 82-78 in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Saturday at Allen Arena. The Bisons improved to 12-7 overall, while the Governors fell to 11-6.

In a closely fought ASUN Conference matchup, Lipscomb held a narrow 40-42 halftime lead. Austin Peay kept pace throughout, but the Bisons secured the victory with a 42-point second-half performance. A crowd of 2,837 watched the home team prevail.

The result followed the statistical prediction, as Lipscomb entered the game with a high probability of victory according to the Interstat ELO system. The two teams are scheduled to meet again in a rematch on Feb. 5 in Clarksville, Tennessee.
