FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Interstat) — The Arkansas Razorbacks edged the Samford Bulldogs 79-75 in a men’s basketball game Friday night at Bud Walton Arena. Arkansas improved to 3-1 while Samford fell to 2-2.

The Razorbacks built a 45-35 halftime lead but Samford closed the gap in the second half, outscoring Arkansas 40-34. The Bulldogs’ comeback bid ultimately fell short. Darius Acuff Jr. led Arkansas with 20 points and five assists, while Meleek Thomas added 17 points and eight rebounds. Cade Norris and Zion Willburn each scored 15 points for Samford. A crowd of 19,200 attended the game.
