Samford at Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Interstat) — The Arkansas Razorbacks look to build on a dominant home victory when they host the Samford Bulldogs in a nonconference men’s basketball game Friday at Bud Walton Arena.

Arkansas (2-1) is coming off a 93-56 rout of Central Arkansas on Tuesday. The Razorbacks’ offense was fueled by a trio of high-scoring guards, with Darius Acuff Jr. leading the way with 21 points. Karter Knox added 19 points and Meleek Thomas scored 17. The team’s lone loss was a narrow 69-66 defeat on the road against Michigan State on Nov. 8.

Samford (1-1) evened its record with an 82-72 home win over South Carolina State last Friday. The Bulldogs were led by Jadin Booth’s 26 points and six rebounds. Guard Keaton Norris nearly recorded a double-double with 11 points and eight assists, while Dylan Faulkner added 19 points and three blocks. Samford opened its season with a 72-85 loss at Tulane.

The game marks the first of a two-game homestand for the Razorbacks before a high-profile neutral-site clash with Duke. Samford continues a challenging early-season road stretch.
