The Longhorns (4-1) never trailed, using a 44-point first half to build a substantial lead and pulling away further after halftime. Matas Vokietaitis added 20 points for Texas, which shot 55% from the floor and dominated inside with 42 points in the paint. Flash Burton scored 16 points for the Rider Broncs (1-3), who were outscored 34-4 on fast breaks and committed 12 turnovers. An announced crowd of 10,641 watched the game.
