PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — Temple cruised to a 90-63 victory over city rival La Salle in a men’s college basketball game Tuesday night at Liacouras Center. The Owls improved to 2-0, while the Explorers fell to 2-1.

Derrian Ford led all scorers with 22 points for Temple, which shot 50% from the field and made 12 three-pointers. Aiden Tobiason added 16 points. The Owls built a 42-29 halftime lead and never relented. Rob Dockery paced La Salle with 11 points. Temple’s efficient offense proved too much for the Explorers, who struggled to keep pace throughout the non-conference matchup.
