IUPUI vs. Alabama State
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (Interstat) — The IU Indy Jaguars and Alabama State Hornets, both seeking to get back to .500, will face off in a non-conference men’s basketball game Friday at Clune Arena.
The Jaguars (2-4) are coming off a high-scoring 103-91 road loss to Charleston Southern on Tuesday. Kyler D’Augustino led IU Indy with 28 points in the defeat, which saw the team allow triple-digit points for the third time this season. The Jaguars’ two wins came against Eastern Michigan and IU Columbus.
Alabama State (2-3) arrives after a narrow 66-64 loss to Air Force at this same venue on Wednesday. Micah Simpson poured in 30 points for the Hornets in the losing effort. Alabama State’s victories this season are against Virginia-Lynchburg and UAB.
This neutral-site game in Colorado is part of a multi-team event for both programs. IU Indy will remain in town to play Air Force on Sunday, while Alabama State will face SIU Edwardsville, also at Clune Arena, on Sunday.
