Arizona Edges Connecticut in Defensive Battle

HARTFORD, Conn. (Interstat) — Jaden Bradley scored 21 points to lead Arizona to a 71-67 victory over Connecticut in a nonconference men’s basketball game Wednesday night at XL Center.

The Wildcats improved to 5-0 while the Huskies fell to 4-1. Arizona held a narrow 35-33 halftime lead and maintained its advantage in a tight second half. Bradley’s scoring and a 19-for-25 performance from the free-throw line proved crucial for Arizona, which overcame a poor 2-of-10 shooting night from 3-point range. Koa Peat added 16 points for the Wildcats. Eric Reibe led Connecticut with 15 points.
