The Hokies built a 44-32 halftime lead and withstood a stronger second-half push from the 49ers to secure the victory. Tobi Lawal powered Virginia Tech with 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Jailen Bedford added a team-high 21 points. Charlotte’s Anton Bonke recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds in the losing effort. The 49ers fell to 2-2 on the season, while Virginia Tech improved to 4-0.
