Hampton at Brown
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking their first win over a Division I opponent will meet Friday when the Hampton Pirates face the Brown Bears at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Hampton (1-2) enters the non-conference matchup after a 91-53 road loss to Virginia on Tuesday. Michael Eley led the Pirates with 16 points in that contest. Hampton’s lone victory was a 103-43 rout of Mid-Atlantic Christian on Nov. 6, sandwiched between a narrow 90-86 loss at Milwaukee and the defeat at Virginia.
Brown (0-3) is still searching for its first win of the season following a 90-77 loss at Boston University on Wednesday. The Bears have suffered three consecutive losses, including a double-overtime, 89-84 defeat against Vermont on Nov. 9.
Both teams will look to capitalize on a struggling defense. Hampton allowed 91 points in its last outing, while Brown has conceded an average of 82.6 points per game through its first three contests.
The game tips off at 7 p.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025. Hampton’s next game is against Holy Cross on Sunday in Providence, while Brown will host Holy Cross on Tuesday.
