Gonzaga at Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz. (Interstat) — The undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs will face their first road test of the young season against the Arizona State Sun Devils in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

Gonzaga (3-0) enters the contest riding a wave of dominant home victories, most recently a 90-63 rout of Creighton on Tuesday. The Bulldogs’ offense has been prolific, averaging 90.3 points through their first three games. Forward Graham Ike led the charge against Creighton with 20 points, while Mario Saint-Supery added 13 points and three assists.

Arizona State (2-0) has also started strong, defeating Utah Tech 81-66 on Sunday. The Sun Devils were powered by a double-double from Santiago Trouet, who had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Massamba Diop added a team-high 18 points in the win.

The game pits Gonzaga’s high-powered offense against an Arizona State team that has held its first two opponents to an average of 65 points. The Bulldogs have won their games by an average margin of 30.3 points.

This marks the beginning of a challenging stretch for both teams. Following this contest, Gonzaga will host Southern Utah before a neutral-site game against Alabama. Arizona State will host Georgia State before embarking on a multi-game road trip, including a matchup in Hawaii.
