Kings’ Rally Falls Short as Clippers Hold On for Home Victory

SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — The San Diego Clippers outlasted the Stockton Kings 120-112 in a G League contest Friday night at Frontwave Arena. The Clippers used a strong first quarter to build an early lead and weathered a persistent Stockton offense that closed within single digits multiple times.

San Diego improved to 27-22. Stockton, which got a game-high scoring performance from guard Jameer Nelson, fell to 31-17. The teams meet again in San Diego on Saturday.

Norchad Omier led a balanced Clippers attack with early interior scoring, while Zach Freemantle and TyTy Washington provided consistent offense. The Kings’ Nelson keyed several rallies with timely shooting, but San Diego answered each run, including a decisive 35-point fourth quarter to secure the win.
