Spurs Use Dominant Second Quarter to Secure Road Win Over Boom
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) — The Austin Spurs used a 40-point second quarter to pull away from the Noblesville Boom and secure a 117-97 G League victory Sunday at Arena at Innovation Mile.
Austin, which led 65-50 at halftime, improved to 33-14. Noblesville fell to 20-29. The Spurs’ offense was fluid throughout, building on a narrow 25-26 first-quarter deficit with the explosive period to take control for good.
Adam Flagler orchestrated the Austin attack, consistently creating shots for himself and others. DaJuan Gordon led the Boom with a persistent scoring effort, but Noblesville could not contain the Spurs’ balanced offense or overcome the second-quarter surge.
The win completed a two-game road sweep for Austin after also defeating Noblesville on Friday.
