Rip City Outlasts South Bay in Overtime Thriller

PORTLAND, Ore. (Interstat) — Caleb Love scored seven of his team’s points in overtime as the Rip City Remix edged the South Bay Lakers 133-126 in a G League contest Tuesday at Chiles Center.

The Remix, who led 126-124 after regulation, held South Bay scoreless in the extra period. Love’s personal 7-0 run sealed the win for the home team.

South Bay’s R.J. Davis and Malik Williams combined for a strong offensive effort, but Rip City’s balanced attack, led by Love and Chris Youngblood, proved decisive. The game was a back-and-forth affair, with South Bay posting a 44-point first quarter before Rip City steadily chipped away.

With the result, South Bay falls to 29-16. Rip City improves to 25-21.
