Kings Outlast Wolves in High-Scoring G League Shootout
STOCKTON, Calif. (Interstat) — The Stockton Kings used a dominant second quarter to defeat the Iowa Wolves 131-118 in a G League matchup Wednesday afternoon at Stockton Arena.
Stockton outscored Iowa 46-36 in the period, turning a one-point lead after the first quarter into a double-digit advantage it would not relinquish. The Kings’ offense proved too potent, maintaining a steady lead throughout the second half despite Iowa’s 33-point fourth quarter.
DaQuan Jeffries led a balanced Stockton attack. Jon Elmore and Antoine Davis provided key perimeter scoring for the Kings. Jalen Crutcher and Zyon Pullin paced the Wolves’ effort.
With the win, Stockton improved to 24-12. Iowa fell to 21-17.
