Santa Cruz vs. Rip City
Preview: Santa Cruz Warriors at Rip City Remix
PORTLAND, Ore. (Interstat) — The Rip City Remix look to continue their push up the G League standings when they host the struggling Santa Cruz Warriors on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, at the Chiles Center.
The teams are trending in opposite directions. Rip City (21-15) enters on a strong note, coming off a dominant 141-103 road victory over Birmingham on Thursday. The Remix have won four of their last five games.
Santa Cruz (11-22), meanwhile, has lost eight of its last ten contests. The Warriors snapped a four-game skid with a 134-116 win at Memphis on Thursday, but face a Remix squad that swept a two-game series from them in November.
A key matchup will feature two of the league’s hottest performers. Santa Cruz guard Deivon Smith is averaging 29.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists over his last two games, including a 32-point, 9-rebound, 7-assist effort in the win over Memphis.
He will be countered by Rip City’s Jaylen Martin, who is coming off a career-high 31-point performance against Birmingham. The shooting guard has scored in double figures in five of his last seven games, providing a consistent offensive spark for the Remix.
In their previous meetings this season, Rip City won 120-107 on Nov. 7 and 131-118 on Nov. 8, both in Santa Cruz. The Warriors will seek their first win against the Remix this season before the teams meet again in Portland just two days later on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
The Remix have found success with balanced contributions. In the Birmingham win, Sean Pedulla added 28 points and nine assists, while Alex Reese posted an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double.
Santa Cruz will need similar supplementary production around Smith, potentially from Franco Miller and Jacksen Moni, who each scored 17 points in the recent victory.
Sunday’s contest tips off at 3 p.m. PST.
