WALKER, Mich. (Interstat) — The Motor City Cruise used a dominant first quarter to fuel a 149-118 victory over the College Park Skyhawks in a G League game Sunday at DeltaPlex Arena.

The Cruise established immediate control, erupting for 44 points in the opening period to build a 19-point lead. They never relented, answering every Skyhawks push with efficient scoring to even their season record at 19-19. College Park, which got a team-high 37 points in the third quarter, fell to 10-27.

Isaac Jones and Tolu Smith anchored Motor City’s interior attack, while Drew Peterson and Chaz Lanier provided perimeter scoring. Caleb Houstan and Basheer Jihad led the Skyhawks’ effort. The win gave the Cruise a split of the two-game set after falling to College Park on Friday.
