Austin vs. Iowa

Preview: Austin Spurs at Iowa Wolves

DES MOINES, Iowa (Interstat) — The Austin Spurs and Iowa Wolves will complete a rare G League back-to-back Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Arena, less than 24 hours after a high-scoring series opener.

The Spurs (23-9) outlasted the Wolves (21-14) 130-124 on Tuesday night, tightening their grip on the Western Conference standings. Wednesday’s rematch offers Iowa an immediate chance for revenge on its home floor.

Austin’s Harrison Ingram enters the contest as one of the league’s most consistent forces. The forward is averaging a double-double over his last 10 games, including a 23-point, 15-rebound performance in a narrow loss to Rio Grande Valley on Feb. 7. His rebounding and playmaking have been pivotal for the conference leaders.

Iowa will counter with Jules Bernard, who is coming off a historic triple-double. In Saturday’s win over Maine, Bernard posted 30 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists, showcasing the all-around offensive burst that has defined his recent play. Over his last 10 games, Bernard has averaged 26.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists, establishing himself as the Wolves’ primary catalyst.

The Tuesday matchup highlighted both teams’ offensive capabilities and defensive challenges. Containing Bernard and Ingram will again be a focal point. Iowa’s defense, which allowed 130 points in the loss, will need a sharper performance to slow an Austin team that has won eight of its last eleven.

Following Wednesday’s game, Austin begins a road trip in San Diego on Feb. 19. Iowa remains home to host Rio Grande Valley on Feb. 22.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CST.
