Memphis vs. Cleveland
Preview: Memphis Hustle at Cleveland Charge
CLEVELAND (Interstat) — The surging Cleveland Charge will look to extend their winning streak and solidify their playoff positioning when they host the struggling Memphis Hustle in a G League matchup Friday night at Wolstein Center.
The Charge (16-10) enter on a four-game win streak, most recently a 120-105 road victory over Birmingham on Jan. 24. Their recent success has been fueled by the dominant interior play of forward Norchad Omier, who has recorded a double-double in seven of his last eight games, including a 16-point, 15-rebound performance against Birmingham.
Conversely, the Hustle (9-18) are mired in a slump, having lost eight of their last nine games. They are coming off a 127-109 defeat at Iowa on Jan. 24, despite a 28-point effort from swingman Nate Hinton. Hinton has been a bright spot for Memphis, averaging 19.6 points over his last eight contests.
This will be the second meeting between the teams this season. Cleveland won the first matchup 118-107 in Memphis on Dec. 19, 2025.
The game pits Cleveland’s consistency against Memphis’s search for momentum. The Charge boast a balanced attack, with point guard Darius Brown coming off a 20-point, 13-assist outing. The Hustle will rely heavily on Hinton and forward Tyler Burton, who erupted for 37 points in the loss to Iowa, to keep pace.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST Friday. Cleveland begins a back-to-back set, hosting Motor City on Saturday. Memphis continues a road trip at Motor City on Sunday.
