Wisconsin Herd Routs Capital City Go-Go in High-Scoring G League Affair
WASHINGTON (Interstat) — The Wisconsin Herd dominated from the opening tip, cruising to a 124-99 victory over the Capital City Go-Go in a G League game Friday afternoon at CareFirst Arena.
The Herd established a commanding lead with a 42-point first quarter and never relented, handing the Go-Go a decisive defeat. Wisconsin improved to 11-19 overall, while Capital City fell to 14-14. The outcome defied a statistical projection that heavily favored the home team.
Mark Sears and Cormac Ryan led a balanced Wisconsin attack that saw six players score in double figures. The Herd’s offense proved unstoppable, shooting efficiently from the field and sharing the ball for 35 assists. Keshon Gilbert paced Capital City with 22 points in the loss.
The teams will meet again in Washington on Saturday.
