Austin Spurs Outlast Valley Suns in High-Scoring G League Affair
TEMPE, Ariz. (Interstat) — The Austin Spurs earned a 116-107 victory over the Valley Suns in a G League game Tuesday night at Mullett Arena. The Spurs, who led by as many as 19 points, used a balanced offensive attack to secure the win and improve their season record to 21-7. The Suns, who fell to 8-21, were led by center C.J. Huntley but could not overcome Austin’s consistent scoring across all four quarters. The Spurs built a 51-46 halftime lead and maintained control despite Valley’s 33-point fourth quarter. Austin has now won two straight against Valley, including a victory on Sunday. The game’s final score fell short of the Interstat game simulator’s projection of a 123-100 Austin win.
