Oklahoma City vs. San Diego

SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — The struggling Oklahoma City Blue look to snap a five-game skid when they visit the San Diego Clippers in a G League matchup Friday night at Frontwave Arena.

The Blue (6-20) enter on the heels of a 127-112 home loss to Austin on Tuesday, their 10th defeat in the last 11 games. The Clippers (14-13), meanwhile, aim to rebound after a 113-101 road loss to Mexico City that same night.

A key matchup will feature two of the league’s top wing scorers. Oklahoma City’s Bryce Thompson is coming off a career-high 37-point performance against Austin, adding seven rebounds. Over his last eight games, the athletic forward is averaging 20.5 points. He will be tasked with helping the Blue’s offense, which has been held under 100 points three times during this losing streak.

San Diego will counter with Jahmyl Telfort, who recorded a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to Mexico City. The versatile forward has been a consistent force, scoring in double figures in nine of his last ten contests and averaging 18.2 points and 6.9 rebounds over that stretch.

The Clippers have found more success at home this season and will rely on guard Jaelen House, who had 23 points and seven assists last time out. For Oklahoma City, support for Thompson must come from guard Anthony Pritchard, who notched a near triple-double of 16 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists against Austin.

The teams will meet again at the same venue Saturday night. Following Friday’s game, Oklahoma City begins a four-game homestand, while San Diego embarks on a six-game road trip after hosting College Park next week.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. PST.
