Windy City vs. Westchester
Preview: Windy City Bulls at Westchester Knicks
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (Interstat) — The surging Windy City Bulls visit the struggling Westchester Knicks in a G League matchup on Friday night at Westchester County Center.
Windy City (12-12) enters at .500 after a dominant 131-104 road victory over San Diego on Jan. 15. The Bulls have won three of their last five games. Westchester (5-21) seeks to halt a two-game skid following a 114-103 loss at Wisconsin on Monday. The Knicks have the league’s worst record.
A key matchup will feature Windy City forward Kevin Knox against Westchester guard Bryson Warren. Knox is coming off a powerful 28-point, 16-rebound performance against San Diego and has recorded a double-double in five of his last eight games, averaging 23.1 points and 9.9 rebounds in that span.
Warren has been a bright spot for Westchester, scoring 25 or more points in four of his last six outings. He tallied 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the loss to Wisconsin.
In their last meeting, Windy City’s backcourt duo of Mac McClung (29 points, nine assists) and Emanuel Miller (17 points, 10 rebounds) provided crucial support alongside Knox. Westchester will rely on center Trey Jemison, who had a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) on Monday, and forward Isaiah Roby to counter Windy City’s interior presence.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a Windy City victory, 123-100.
The Bulls begin a four-game road trip with this contest before facing Oklahoma City on Monday. The Knicks open a brief two-game homestand, hosting Osceola on Saturday.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
