San Diego Clippers Roll Past Mexico City Capitanes in G League Action

MEXICO CITY (Interstat) — The San Diego Clippers built a large early lead and never trailed, defeating the Mexico City Capitanes 115-96 in a G League game Sunday at Estadio Azteca.

San Diego opened with a 36-point first quarter and maintained a double-digit advantage for nearly the entire contest. The Clippers’ offense was consistent throughout, while the Capitanes could not sustain momentum after a 30-point second quarter.

The victory improved San Diego’s record to 14-12. Mexico City, which entered as a heavy statistical favorite, fell to 15-11. The teams will meet again in the capital on Tuesday.
