DENDERLEEUW, Belgium (Interstat) — Sint-Truiden opened its Belgian First Division A season with a commanding 4-1 road victory over Dender on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at DENDER Football Complex.

Defender Noah Mbamba set the tone, scoring just one minute into the match and adding an assist. Sint-Truiden’s substitutes provided a decisive spark, with Ilias Sebaoui, Ryōtarō Itō, Rihito Yamamoto and Arbnor Muja each scoring a goal. Dender’s lone reply came from Malcolm Viltard.

The lopsided result defied a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw. Sint-Truiden begins its league campaign with a win, while Dender starts with a loss.
