Dender vs Sint-Truiden

DENDER, Belgium (Interstat) — A surging Sint-Truiden side will look to extend its recent dominance over Dender when the Belgian First Division A clubs meet Saturday.

The match at Dender’s home ground pits a visiting Canaries squad enjoying a strong run of form against a Dender team mired in a slump. Sint-Truiden (12-6-8) enters on a two-game winning streak, including a 1-0 victory over Standard Liège last Friday. It has won seven of its last 10 league matches, a stretch featuring impressive wins over top sides like Club Brugge and Gent.

In contrast, Dender (5-9-12) has lost three consecutive matches, most recently a 3-2 defeat at Sporting Oud-Heverlee. It has managed just one win in its last seven league outings.

The recent head-to-head history favors Sint-Truiden, which secured a 2-0 home win over Dender when the teams met last August.

Sint-Truiden’s attack has been potent, netting four goals against Westerlo two weeks ago. Dender’s defense, which conceded five to Club Brugge in December, will face a stern test. However, Dender has shown resilience at home, earning draws against Anderlecht and Mechelen this season.

The Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.

Following this match, Sint-Truiden will prepare for a trip to face Kampong Speu Province on Feb. 28. Dender’s next fixture is at Club Brugge II on March 7.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. local time (1700 GMT) on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.
