TRÍPOLI, Greece (Interstat) — Julián Bartolo scored twice in the final 15 minutes to lead Asteras Tripolis to a 2-0 victory over Volos NFC in a Super League 1 match Saturday at Stadio Theodoros Kolokotronis.

The game was scoreless until the 76th minute when Bartolo, a forward, netted his first goal. He added a second later to secure the win for the home side. Three substitutes — Núrio Fortuna, Giannis Bouzoukis and Thanasis Triantafyllou — each recorded an assist, as did defender Robert Ivanov.

The match was physical, with four yellow cards issued. The result improved Asteras Tripolis to 3-10-5 in the league, while Volos NFC fell to 8-11-1. The outcome defied a pregame statistical projection of a 1-1 draw.
