Delfin vs CD Cuenca

GUAYAQUIL, Ecuador (Interstat) — Delfin and CD Cuenca will meet Friday in a Liga Pro matchup pitting one of the league’s coldest teams against one of its hottest.

The game is scheduled for Oct. 31 at Delfin’s home stadium.

CD Cuenca (2-1-0) enters the contest near the top of the Ecuadorian top-flight table, having won two of its first three matches. Its form, however, was checked by a 2-1 home loss to Aucas this past Sunday.

Delfin, in stark contrast, is mired near the bottom of the standings with a record of 6-13-10. The club is on a four-match losing streak across all competitions and has won just once in its last 16 outings, a stretch dating back to late June. Its most recent result was a 1-0 road loss to Emelec on Monday.

Despite the divergent trajectories, a statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a tightly contested draw, simulating a final score of Delfin 1, CD Cuenca 1.

Friday’s match will be the first meeting between the two clubs this season.
