Substitutes Spark 2‑2 Draw in AFC Champions League Clash
BURIRAM, Thailand (Interstat) — Substitute Kim Daewon led a Gangwon comeback to secure a 2-2 draw with Buriram United in AFC Champions League play Tuesday at Chang Arena.
The match defied a pregame projection favoring the hosts. Gangwon’s Mo Jaehyeon opened scoring in the 33rd minute. Buriram responded with two quick second-half goals from defender Ko Myeongseok (58th) and forward Suphanat Mueanta (65th). Kim, who entered as a substitute, then equalized for the visiting South Korean side, contributing a goal and an assist.
The result leaves both teams with identical records in the competition: no wins, no losses and one draw. Five yellow cards were issued in the physical contest.
